Sustainability at the LOOP ONE Festival

Biathlon depends on snow and nature – yet these very foundations are threatened by climate change. As the International Biathlon Federation, we take responsibility and actively commit to sustainability so that future generations can continue to experience winter sports.

This commitment applies especially to our own events. That’s why we are shaping the LOOP ONE Festival to be as sustainable as possible – guided by a clear concept and six specific focus areas:

Sustainability

Environment

•   Travel & stay sustainably – we promote climate-friendly transportation and accommodation.

•   Conserve resources – whether energy, water, or waste: we rely on circular economy solutions instead of single-use.

•   Protect nature – we safeguard biodiversity in the Olympic Park and raise awareness for urban habitats.

Social

•   Everyone is welcome – the festival stands for inclusion, movement, and participation.

•   Share climate knowledge – interactive formats and stories bring sustainability to life.

Economy

•   Green & local – we work with sustainable partners and strengthen the regional economy.
